Mathraki is the southernmost and smallest of the Diapontia islands. It is 3 nautical miles from the north-west coast of Corfu, opposite Arillas, with which it is connected by small boats. It has an area of 3 square kilometers.

The island has plenty of vegetation and some beautiful virgin beaches with fine sand. It is a picturesque and quiet island, ideal for peaceful holidays with natural beauties and hospitable inhabitants.

Several wonderful old stone paths start from the main road and lead to places with panoramic view. The street starts from the port and goes to the golf ‘Apidies’, where are still the foundations of an old port, which has now been deserted and is used only as a harbor by fishermen.
Near the main port, you will find a few rooms to let and taverns.
At the northeast part of the island is the long beach of Portelo, with fine sand and crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming.

TRADITION-EVENTS
Easter celebrations in Mathraki last three days and follow the Ionian tradition.
