The small island of INOUSSA, between Chios and the Turkish coast, is the largest island and the only one inhabited of the group known as the Inousses. It has an area of 14 square kilometers and there are daily boat services to Chios, 9 nautical miles away.
The other uninhabited islets of the group are: Panagia, Vatos, Pontikonisi, Avloni, Archontonisso, and Prasonisia. Inoussa is the ideal place for quiet and peaceful holidays.

The small picturesque town, also called Inoussa, is on the south coast of the island. It has fine stone houses, several interesting churches and a Nautical Museum with relics of the island’s naval tradition.

In front of the harbour stands the bronze statue of the mermaid, that the locals call  “Mother of Inoussa”.
In the center of the town is the church of Agios Nikolaos, the patron saint of the island.
At 10 minute distance from the village you will see the notable Monastery of the Annuciation.

In Inoussa there are small hotels, rooms to let, taverns, cafes and many pleasant beaches.
The virgin beaches of the island are sandy or pebbled and have crystal clear waters. The most famous are: Zepaga, Kastro, Farkero, Bilali and Hatziali.
